The Cooperative Development Authority Regional Office V joined the Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP) convergence activities held in the Provinces of Camarines Sur and Masbate.

On April 23, 2022, CDA is among the government agencies participated in the ISARAP Convergence Day held at the Capitol Convention Center, Cadlan, Pili Camarines Sur. The event was graced by Assistance Secretaries, Regional Directors and Provincial Directors/Representative of the different government agencies participated in the ceremonial awarding, with guest speaker DSWD USec. Danilo Pamonag.

CDA Regional Director Salvador V. Valeroso and CPDAS Chief Engr. Zaldy G. Bermejo together with the guest speaker awarded the cheque worth fifty thousand pesos each as Recovery Assistance to three (3) micro Cooperative beneficiaries namely 1) Nabua Vermi-Culture and Organic Fertilizers Producers Cooperative (Nabua, Camarines Sur); 2) Jopatra Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte); and 3) Sinag-Araw Bicol Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Daet, Camarines Norte).

CDA also invited two cooperatives to showcase their products during the activity where the Bicolanas Agriculture Cooperative has a total sale amounting to Php 8,750.00 from their chili oil, wild honey bee, sinatol, weaved blankets, and more. While the Golden Parauma Agriculture Cooperative garnered a total sale of Php 2,300.00 from their organic products such as corn chips, chili oil, fried garlic flakes, fresh watermelon and etc.

On April 27, 2022, same activity was held at Armenia Elementary School, Brgy. Armenia, Uson, Masbate. The event was hosted by DepEd Masbate where different government agencies from local and National were present and showcased their services. Mobo Deped Consumers Cooperative brought some jackfruits which has been sold-out just minutes after displaying it to the CDA Booth which garnered a total sale of Php 350.00.

The event was graced by DTI ASec. Demphna Du-Naga together with Regional Directors and Provincial representatives of different government offices, CDA Regional Director Salvador V. Valeroso is one of those who delivered a message. Three (3) micro cooperatives in Masbate province was also awarded with fifty thousand pesos (Php 50,000.00) as CDA’s Recovery Assistance, namely 1) Daplian Fishermen Cooperative (DAFICO) (San Fernando, Masbate); 2) Pag-urusap Farmers Credit Cooperative (Masbate City); and 3) Mobo Deped Consumers Cooperative (Mobo, Masbate). The cheque was awarded by Director Salvador V. Valeroso and CDA Masbate Provincial Coordinator Ms. Yvonne D. Gulosino together with the guest speaker.

There were other four (4) micro cooperatives from Catanduanes, Sorsogon and Albay that are yet to receive same assistance. This ISARAP Convergence activity was held in compliance with the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte to bring the services to the people and make them feel and realize that government cares them even in the last months of his administration.
