Ragay, Camarines Sur – The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region V Extension meets with Hon. Tsuyoshi Anthony G. Horibata, Representative of Camarines Sur District 1 on September 22, 2023 to discuss possible collaboration and support for cooperatives in his district.
CDA OIC-Regional Director Atty. Emilio D. Escueta III together with Acting Supervising CDS Engr. Zaldy G. Bermejo and CDS II Viviene B. Patasin visited Cong. Horibata to present the status of Cooperatives in his District. Highlight of the meeting is the collaboration for the conduct of different training for micro and small cooperatives to ensure their compliance to CDA mandatory reports and to capacitate its officers and members in terms of coop management and governance. This also aims to strengthen the cooperative movement in the 1st District of Camarines Sur which has been quiet for some time.
Cong. Horibata expressed his support to the CDA proposed programs and activities and also discussed his existing and future projects that will directly benefit the cooperatives in the long run. Being an Entrepreneur, the Honorable Congressman emphasized that all projects requested from his office has undergone an assessment before being granted to the cooperatives, as his goal is to put as many projects as he can that will upgrade not only the lives of the coop members but will also stimulate the economic activities in his District.
