Casiguran, Sorsogon – The Sta. Cruz Development Cooperative received a P200,000.00 Loan Assistance from its big brother coop, the Gubat St. Anthony Cooperative, through the Koop Kapatid Program of CDA. The MOA signing took place on March 28, 2023 at Sta. Cruz, Casiguran, Sorsogon. Present during the event are GSAC Chairman Rene Hermo, Vice Chairman Jaime Endraca, along with the Officers of Sta. Cruz Development Cooperative.

Chairman Hermo emphasized on his speech that the loan assistance would boost their sales and membership, and through this program, the coop will be empowered and capacitated for them to become self-sufficient. Chairman Osas of Sta. Cruz Development Cooperative expressed her sincere gratitude for the assistance granted to them that will surely help them in the recovery and to improve their business operation.

The occasion was also graced by the Cooperatives Development Specialist for Sorsogon, Ms. Mary Grace Bañares, who manifested appreciation and support to the two cooperatives in her jurisdiction. She also highlighted the spirit of cooperativism, “alone I am weak, but with others I am strong”.

The program concluded few insights being shared by the officers of Sta. Cruz Development Cooperative.
