Masbate City – The Cooperative Development Authority in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Masbate launched the Kooperatiba Hanapbuhay Oportunidad: Community Advocacy Mentoring and Partnerships Program on July 2-4, 2024 at Balay ni Emang, Boulevard Extension, Masbate City. The event was attended by 45 participants composed of 12 government agencies (Provincial Government of Masbate, Cooperative Development Office, Agricultural Services Office, Tourism Culture & Arts Office, DTI, DILG, TESDA, DAR, DOST, BIR, DBP, DOLE, BFAR, NIA, DEBESMSCAT, DEPED and FRC/PGPRC) and 15 cooperatives.This program is designed to foster economic development, enhance community advocacy, and build sustainable partnerships within cooperatives and the communities. This program also aims to provide valuable mentoring, training, and resources that will empower the partners and beneficiaries to achieve greater economic opportunities and community growth.The program will include mentoring sessions (group mentoring with experienced mentors and professionals), training workshops (skill-building workshops covering various topics such as entrepreneurship, financial management, and community advocacy), networking opportunities (events designed to foster collaboration and partnerships among community members and organizations) and resource access (access to tools, funding opportunities, and support services to help cooperatives achieve their goals).
