Naga City – The CDA is about to undertake a Memorandum of Agreement with Social Security System in pursuit of providing social security coverage for the Job Order (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) personnel stationed at various sections of the lead government agency for cooperative development in Bicol region.

CDA Region 5 Extension Office personnel together with field personnel joining via video teleconferencing platform Zoom, attended an orientation conducted by the Social Security System as represented by Ms. Khristein P. Alegre, during the regular convocation held morning of May 15, 2023.

The orientation centered on the account creation and updating of member’s data through the SSS online portal. Several programs, along with its requirements were also reintroduced, such as Sickness Benefit Reimbursement Application (SBRA) and Maternity Benefit Reimbursement Application (MBRA).

The MOA between the two government agencies was initiated in support of the SSS mandate and its efforts toward the government’s poverty alleviation goals. As of November 2022, the SSS partnered with 2,207 government entities including 1,518 local government units. The CDA Region 5 Extension Office is looking forward to be an addendum to this resounding figure.
