SABAY-SABAY SA PAG ANGAT, MASBATEÑONG COOPERATIBANG MATIBAY LAHAT

The Cooperative Development Authority Region V-Extension Office, through its Masbate Contact Office and in collaboration with the Province of Masbate, kicked off this year’s ‘Cooperative My Day: CDA Updates and Services on Wheels’ with 146 participants coming 75 cooperatives across Masbate Province on March 4, 2025, at B@ms Place, J. Robredo Extension Blvd., Masbate City.

This information caravan aimed to provide cooperative leaders and members with essential updates on compliance, regulatory matters, and the various assistance programs, training, and seminars offered by the CDA. By bringing these services directly to the cooperatives, the event ensured that stakeholders could access vital resources at their doorstep.

During the event, invited speakers shared valuable insights with the participants. Representatives from BDO presented their “Cash-Agad” program, a potential additional income stream for cooperatives. Meanwhile, officials from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) informed the audience about the new First Philippine Polymer Bank Note Series and raised awareness about counterfeit currency circulating in the economy. The Bureau of the Treasury also provided an informative session on its Investment Program for Cooperatives, offering further opportunities for financial growth.

Following the presentations, CDA representatives conducted in-depth discussions on key topics, such as the submission of required documents, available assistance, the process for filing amendments, and how cooperatives could seek relief to lift cancellation orders for those facing cancellation.
The event concluded with a heartfelt message from Engr. Zaldy Bermejo, Assistant Regional Director of CDA Region V, who expressed his gratitude to all attendees and emphasized the importance of their ongoing support and commitment to the Authority’s programs.
This year’s Cooperative My Day successfully highlighted the collaborative efforts to strengthen the cooperative sector in Masbate, ensuring that cooperatives across the province remain informed, compliant, and empowered to grow.
