Naga City, Camarines Sur – A significant event unfolded as Camarines Sur MPC and Pasacao Integrated Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (PICFACO) came together in a memorable partnership under the Cooperative Development Authority’s Koop Kapatid Program.
Under the Memorandum of Agreement, CamSur MPC has committed to provide sponsorship for educational training of cooperative officers and staff of PICFACO, procurement and marketing assistance on carabao milk products, and technical guidance on operations which encompasses mentoring and coaching in business operations, good governance, and cooperative management. As a partner cooperative, CamSur MPC is entrusted to ensure the successful implementation of the partnership agreement over the course of three (3) years. They were also reminded to submit the prescribed progress report quarterly to CDA Regional Office V to facilitate the monitoring of the agreement’s implementation progress.The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed officials, including Acting Regional Director, Atty. Emilio D. Escueta III, and Atty. Myk Xavier Albao, Attorney III of CDA Region V, alongside Mr. Darine L. Tupaz, Ms. Frances Faye O. Brojela, and Mr. Joshua C. Nayles who holds the position of Cooperatives Development Specialist II. Meanwhile, CamSur MPC was represented by its hardworking and passionate General Manager, Ms. Annielen L. Panerio, CPA.
Mr. Enrique B. Candia, Chairman of PICFACO, expressed his gratitude as the beneficiary cooperative of the Koop Kapatid Program. He affirmed that PICFACO is committed to be a reliable and pro-active cooperative partner, fully cooperating with the provisions of support services provided by CamSur MPC.The significance of the Koop Kapatid MOA Signing was further emphasized by the presence of witnesses such as Mr. John Villareal from PCA-Camarines Sur, Mr. Ronilo U. Ejes representing PICFACO and Ms. Elma S. Cuevas representing CamSur MPC. Their presence underscored the commitment to transparency and collaborative progress within the cooperative sector.
The Valentine’s Day celebration proved to be a perfect occasion for cultivating a memorable and lasting alliance in the spirit of cooperation among cooperatives. The newly forged partnership not only solidified a realistic agreement but also symbolized a collective dedication in fostering a collaborative and thriving cooperative environment – a significant milestone in the path of shared growth and success among cooperatives in the Region.
