BOHOL, PHILIPPINES. (March 25, 2025). Bohol cooperatives undertook a serious two-day endeavor to ensure they met the Authority’s reporting requirements. At the same time, the CDA Region 7 Extension Office provided vital updates and addressed concerns during an ongoing information caravan
The Provincial Government of Bohol, through its Provincial Cooperative Development Office, and the Cooperative Development Authority Region 7 Extension Office jointly organized an information caravan. This event, held at Panda Tea Garden Suites in Tagbilaran City, aimed to inform Bohol’s registered cooperatives about available programs and services, attracting 251 participants from 83 cooperatives.
The program commenced yesterday with Romeo S. Teruel, Executive Assistant IV, Office of the Governor, urging participants to attentively listen to the resource persons’ presentations. This was to facilitate orderly operations and ensure cooperative compliance with mandatory submissions. Subsequently, resource persons from various regional office sections provided updates on their programs and activities, dedicating significant time to addressing participants’ questions and concerns.
Currently, the second day’s focus is on the recent issuance on the guidelines on the submission of required reports and the issuance of certificate of compliance. The cooperatives left the session without compliance certificates, as the Supervision and Examination Section, despite handling the discussions, lacked the time for a hands-on tutorial, especially given the new submission requirements. Despite the time limitations, CDA personnel assured the cooperatives of their continued support for any future issues or concerns.
CDA are not here to fill your minds with facts, but to set them ablaze with understanding. This information caravan is designed to ignite a passion for knowledge, encourage critical thinking, and foster discovery. We aim to inspire your hearts, appeal to your conscience, and strengthen your dedication to your cooperatives. (JRB)
