Highlighting the cooperative month celebration with a theme: “ Kooperatibang Matatag: Tumutugon sa mga Hamon, Daan sa Pagbangon, Nagbibigay Pag-asa sa Makabagong Panahon”, the Leyeco II Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (LECCo) through the initiative of its Board of Directors, spearheaded by Chairman Atty. Edson Piczon launched their First (1st) Adopt-a-School Program at Brgy. Canhidoc Elementary School, Palo, Leyte, last October 29, 2021. LECCo cooperative is a member of the Tacloban City Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (TCCSFC), the first and only registered CSF cooperative in the region. The Adopt-A-School Program (ASAP) of the Department of Education allows the private sector to become dynamic and strong partners towards the noble goal of educating all Filipinos. Among the support donated by the LECCo were one (1) 3in 1 Epson L3210 Printer, 1 box A4 Bond Paper and two (2) extra inks. The school principal and teachers were grateful for the support given because this will be of great help in the preparation of module materials for their pupils. This is LECCo’s way to uphold the 7th cooperative principle, Concern for the Community, and to help everyone stay afloat during this time of crisis and to enable them to get back on their feet.
