A Silver Lining for Allen: CDA Supports AMOEC MPC’s Quarter-Century of Progress

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) participated in the 25th Silver General Assembly of the AMOEC Multi-Purpose Cooperative (AMOEC MPC) in Allen, Northern Samar. With the theme, “Our resilient, strong, and stable AMOEC MPC @ 25 continually builds better communities,” the event celebrated a significant milestone in the cooperative’s legacy of service, resilience, and community transformation.

Regional Director Venus M. Jornales of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region VIII Extension Office conveyed a strong message of support at the assembly. She underscored the critical role of cooperatives in empowering their members and driving inclusive socio-economic growth within the region. Director Jornales’ presence at the silver anniversary further emphasized the CDA’s unwavering commitment to grassroots development and the sustainable advancement of the cooperative sector. Notably, she lauded AMOEC MPC for its successful alignment of initiatives with sustainable development goals, specifically recognizing the cooperative’s significant efforts in fostering economic empowerment and bolstering community resilience over the past 25 years

 

Serving as the Guest Speaker, the esteemed CDA Deputy Administrator Atty. Ma. Lourdes P. Pacao delivered an inspiring address to AMOEC MPC, painting a vivid picture of the cooperative’s remarkable journey and the profound impact of its initiatives on the lives of its members and the wider community. Her words resonated with praise for AMOEC MPC’s unwavering resilience, highlighting its consistent ability to emerge stronger and more determined in the face of challenges. Atty. Pacao underscored the cooperative’s deep-seated dedication to fostering growth and development, emphasizing its transformative influence that extends far beyond its membership, enriching the entire community.

In his address, AMOEC MPC Chairman Joseph B. Cipriano conveyed his sincere gratitude to the cooperative’s dedicated members, esteemed guests, and invaluable partners who have been instrumental in its success throughout its 25-year history. He emphasized AMOEC MPC’s unwavering dedication to its core mission of uplifting the lives of its members, actively strengthening economic opportunities within the community, and making significant contributions to the broader socio-economic development of local communities in Allen, Northern Samar.

Adding further depth to the celebration was a message from former Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Chairperson, Ms. Lecira “Bing” V. Juarez, who now serves as the Managing Director of APRACA CENTRAB. In her remarks, she lauded AMOEC MPC for its remarkable 25-year track record of service and growth. Ms. Juarez also offered words of encouragement, urging the cooperative to persevere in its mission with unwavering faith, continued passion, and enduring unity among its members.
