To start operations with a fresh perspective, CDA Region VIII Extension Office undertook its Regional Planning Conference Cum Target Setting Fiscal Year 2023 on January 11-12, 2023 at the Conference Room, 3rd Floor CDA Region VIII Extension Office. Ms. Irene R. Petilla, CSF Chief/HR, commenced with setting the objectives and expectations for the duration of the activity. Ms. Venus M. Jornales, Acting Regional Director, reinforced the priorities by explicitly discussing the policy directions for the calendar year. She bolstered this with a message to rouse the spirit of teamwork among the employees. With the addition of newly hired and promoted personnel, revised area and work of assignments was presented to carry out the PPAs lined up for the months ahead. The detailed discussion of the PPAs by Ms. Maripaz M. Del Pilar, Acting Supervising CDS and Planning Head ensued to capture the realization of the policy directions explained earlier. To give the PPAs a time frame, Ms. Grace L. Mapanao, Acting Registration Chief/Planning Assistant walked through the One Calendar of Activities for the region. Simultaneous to the activity, the writeshop for the drawing up of the individual targets of the field CDSs went underway. 

Mr. Rowan L. De Los Santos, CPDAS Chief, reported on the status of the implementation of the equally important COCOFARM Project. He also pointed out that for 2023, the project will focus on the strengthening of the beneficiaries through capability building interventions. Towards the end, each operating unit discussed concerns relative to their respectives sections.
