On March 4, 2025, CDA Region VIII hosted a successful virtual orientation to guide micro cooperatives through the new submission process for CY2024 Annual Mandatory Reports, ATIR, and ABR. Held via Zoom, this session was efficiently facilitated by the Supervision and Examination Section (SES), with valuable support from the ICT personnel.
The event brought together 140 participants from various micro cooperatives across Region VIII, offering them a comprehensive overview of the simplified reporting process. The focus was on cooperatives that have been operational for over a year and possess a valid Certificate of Tax Exemption (CTE) in 2024. The primary objective was to help participants navigate the new online submission forms for the CY2024 Mandatory Reports, ATIR and ABR using Google Forms and to clarify the updates to the reporting procedures.
The session kicked off with opening remarks from the Assistant Regional Director, Maripaz M. Del Pilar, who emphasized the importance of timely and accurate submissions and encouraged the participants to embrace the new methods. The detailed presentation followed, providing step-by-step instructions on the submission process, with ample time for questions and clarifications.
During the Q&A forum, participants sought clarification on topics like financial statement audits, CDA-mandated officer training, and the significance of reporting social activities funded by the Community Development Fund. The Senior Cooperatives Development Specialist of SES, Mark B. Mapanao, concluded the session by thanking the participants for their engagement and reiterating the importance of compliance with the annual reports.
The orientation was well-received, with participants expressing their appreciation for the clarity and valuable insights gained. They were grateful for the opportunity to learn about the new submission process, which aims to simplify and address previous challenges faced with the CAIS system. This initiative promises a smoother and more efficient reporting experience, ensuring that micro cooperatives are better equipped for the timely submission of their mandatory reports for CY2024.
