Department of Agriculture Recognizes Cooperative Development AuthorityRegion VIII and Other Stakeholders at Pasidungog 2024

The Department of Agriculture (DA) commemorated its 126th anniversary with a momentous event titled “Pasidungog 2024,” held today, June 25, 2024, at the Leyte Academic Center in Palo, Leyte. The activity was spearheaded by their Regional Executive Director, Rodolfo Andrew Orais. This celebratory ceremony acknowledges the unwavering support of the Department of Agriculture’s stakeholders. The Cooperative Development Authority Region VIII stands out as one of their Outstanding Partners in Eastern Visayas. The Cooperative Development Authority Region VIII was presented with a plaque of appreciation for its consistent collaboration on the Department of Agriculture’s programs and projects. This partnership has been a driving force in achieving the agency’s vision of a modernized, competitive, and climate-resilient agriculture and fisheries sector in the Philippines.

Regional Director Venus M. Jornales proudly received the award on behalf of the Cooperative Development Authority Region VIII. The event was graced by representatives of prominent figures such as Hon. Marcelino C. Libanan of 4Ps Party List and Hon. Jude A. Acidre of Tingog Party List.

Pasidungog 2024 extends its recognition beyond the CDA. The ceremony brings together awardees from various municipalities and partner government agencies that work alongside the Department of Agriculture.
