Regional Director Inspires Growth and Youth Involvement at LSG-MPC YearEnd Assessment”

On December 11, 2024, at 10:00 AM, Regional Director Venus M. Jornales attended the Year-End Assessment of the Leyte Seed Growers Multipurpose Cooperative (LSG-MPC) in Alangalang, Leyte, where she delivered an inspirational message to the members. During her address, she praised the cooperative for its outstanding achievements over the past year and recognized its valuable contributions to both the community and the local economy. She highlighted the crucial roles of perseverance, teamwork, and community support in driving the cooperative’s success. In her message she encouraged the cooperative to focus on recruiting the youth, stressing that involving younger generations would be crucial to the long-term sustainability and vitality of the cooperative.

By engaging the youth, she underscored the potential for the cooperative to build a stronger foundation and ensure its future growth. RD. Venus M. Jornales, further highlighted the crucial role that agriculture plays within the cooperative sector. She encouraged the cooperative to strengthen its involvement in agricultural initiatives, noting that agriculture is a key driver of the region’s economy and essential for food security. Supporting agricultural endeavors within cooperatives, she stated, not only benefits the members but also contributes to the broader development of rural areas. She also shared her recent experience during a visit to Japan, where she observed the advanced technologies being used in agriculture and industry. She emphasized the importance of adopting such innovations to enhance productivity and improve the cooperative’s operations, encouraging the members to explore and integrate modern technological solutions to further strengthen their cooperative’s growth and impact.

Additionally, she shared the various programs and initiatives of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) aimed at promoting and strengthening cooperatives across the region. She highlighted the training, financial support, and technical assistance available through the CDA to help cooperatives expand and improve their services. She urged LSG-MPC to take full advantage of these resources to continue their progress and achieve even greater success in the coming years.

The Regional Director’s presence and message at the event left the cooperative members inspired and motivated to keep striving toward their goals, reinforcing the values of collaboration, agricultural development, and growth for the cooperative’s future.
