The Regional Cooperative Development Council held its 5th Regional Cooperative Summit on April 11-13 2024 at Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City, with a theme “Meeting Challenges to Accelerate Sustainable Development through Empowered Cooperative Networks” which underscores our commitment to addressing the challenges confronting cooperatives while emphasizing the crucial role of empowered cooperative networks in driving sustainable development.
This momentous event is set to bring together leaders, stakeholders, and enthusiasts from the cooperative sector across Region IX for a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences. The summit is designed to serve as a center of collaboration, sustainability, and empowerment within the cooperative landscape of our region. It offers a unique opportunity for cooperative leaders, government officials, and stakeholders to convene, deliberate, and strategize on key issues facing our cooperative communities.
The summit was attended by more than 500 cooperative leader all over Region IX, distinguish guest from Cooperative Development Authority and government officials of Region IX.
This summit was spearheaded by Zamboanga City Councilor Hon. Joselito Macrohon, the Regional Cooperative Development Council Chairperson, Western Mindanao Federation of Cooperative, Cooperative Development Authority IX and Regional Cooperative Development Council officers and staff.
