A total of 37 cooperatives/associations with 117 farmers beneficiaries in Region IX
benefited from the capability building activities conducted under the CDA–PHILMECH
Partnership Program.

The Training Course on Cooperatives, Bookkeeping and Entrepreneurship conducted last October and November 2021 empowers the farmers to have an entrepreneur mindset, how to record financial transactions, and to prepare cash flow and make financial reports to sustain the operation of the equipment that was granted to them by the PHILMECH.

After the training intervention, 4 associations signified their intention to convert into a
cooperative convinced that cooperativism is a vehicle for sustainable development.
