The Regional Cooperative Development Council (RCDC) IX held its 3rd Quarterly Meeting on September 1, 2023 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, 2nd floor SP Building, Capitol Compound, Ipil Heights, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

According to Zamboanga City Councilor, Hon.  Joselito “Lit-Lit” Macrohon, RCDC IX Chairperson, the meeting was aimed to enhance the collaboration, consultation, coordination in the implementation of various cooperative programs and projects implemented by all government branches, instrumentalities, subdivisions, and agencies in partnership with the cooperative sector.

During the meeting, Regional Director Ruben L. Cunanan of the Cooperative Development Authority Region IX Extension Office presented the programs implemented by CDA and the state of cooperative movement in the Zamboanga Peninsula Region.

There was also a discussion on the preparation and participation of the RCDC as well as the different cooperatives and Local Government Units, among others, for the upcoming Cooperative Month Celebration this October.

The said RCDC Meeting was pursuant to CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2022-03 or the Guidelines on the Structure, Organization, and Operation of the Cooperative Development Councils (CDC’s).
