CDA Region IX Extension office took part in the promotion of development in the areas with ongoing insurgencies through cooperativisim. Communities in Ocapan, San Miguel and Dalapan, Guipos of Zamboanga del Sur were organized into cooperatives.
The officers were capacitated through the provision ofMandatory trainings last November 24-25, 2021 in collaboration with TESDA-Zamboanga del Sur to ensure a better understanding of their responsibilities as officers in their respective cooperatives as well as to impart the best practices, principles and concepts of cooperativism.
Today, the following cooperatives receive other government assistance to ensure thesuccess of its operation.
- Ocapan Farmers Men and Women Agriculture Cooperative (OCAFAMWACO)
- Dalapan Farmers Men and Women Agriculture Cooperative
