December 3, 2024 – The Cooperative Development Authority Cordillera Administrative Region Extension Office (CDA-CAR EO) and Philippine Information Agency Cordillera Administrative Region (PIA-CAR) conducted the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas which is a synchronized, region-wide event broadcasted across various multimedia platforms at PIA-CAR Conference Hall, DPS Compound, Baguio City.
The Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas is a dynamic initiative that serves as a critical platform for promoting cooperative development, enhancing government transparency, and fostering public engagement. Through the collaboration of the CDA and PIA, the initiative not only supports grassroots economic development through cooperatives but also ensures that vital information reaches the public in an accessible and inclusive manner. With continued improvements and greater participation, these program of the government has the potential to play an even more significant role in shaping a better future not just for the cooperative sector but for the Filipino people.
Highlights during the Kapihan is the Accomplishment Report of CDA CAR, its programs, services offered and future activities. Good Care Multipurpose cooperative represented by Mr. Pedro Padio, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Salvador Castillo, Chairman of the Audit committee were also invited to share the success story of their cooperative being beneficiaries of the Malasakit Sa Kooperatiba Program and Koop Kapatid Program of the CDA. A question-and-answer portion from the Media group followed thereafter.
The Kapihan interview was conducted by Director Helen Tibaldo, Regional Director of PIA CAR with panelists from CDA CAR headed by Dr. Felicidad R. Cenon, OIC Regional Director of CDA CAR, together with Atty. Maria Lourdes Comtiag-Agmata, Attorney III of CDA CAR, Lotes P. Lab-oyan, Senior CDS for CSF, Amelita M. Bayowan, Senior CDS for Registration, Arden James P. Beswayan, Senior CDS for SES, Faye G. Flores, Acting Senior CDS for CRITS.
