The Cooperative Development Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region Extension Office through the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Regional Director, Felicidad R. Cenon, PhD., joined the Municipality of Atok, Benguet in their 2nd Cooperative Congress last October 4, 2024 at Tayao Gardens, Caliking, Atok, Benguet.
The event was graced and inspired by the presence and messages of Mayor Franklin L. Smith of Atok, Benguet Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Joel B. Tingbaoen Jr, Committee on Cooperatives, Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Marilou A. Zarate, Committee on Cooperatives (SB) Charlie Lingbanan, designated Municipal Cooperative Development Officer (CDO) Ms. Lolita C. Beganio, Municipal Agriculturist Ms. Cherry Sano, designated Provincial CDO Mr. Brian Agramos, and Mr. Mario Baucas, representative of Benguet Governor Melchor D. Diclas.
With OIC Regional Director Cenon serving as the guest speaker, the occasion was actively participated in by 196 cooperative leaders from the 24 operating cooperatives in the municipality where the gained knowledge from the success stories and best practices from Sorosoro Ibaba Development Cooperative, La Trinidad Vegetable Training Post Multipurpose Cooperative, Benguet State University and Community Multipurpose Cooperative.
