October 19, 2024 | The City of Taguig through the Cooperative Development Office, together with our Taguig Cooperative Development Council, our coop unions, COUNTPA and UDPSC in partnership with the Sports Development Office, successfully kicked off 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 as part of the 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!

Held at the Sta. Ana Covered Court, more than 300 participants from 15 cooperatives across Taguig united in a day of sportsmanship, teamwork, and friendly competition.

The opening day was graced by Councilor Carlito Ogalinola, Chair of the Committee on Cooperatives and People’s Organization, and Col. Felino Natividad, Chair of TCCDC, who welcomed the participants with inspiring words of encouragement. Special thanks are also extended to our two unions, COUNTPA and UDPSC, for their unwavering support.

The ceremony featured players from the Taguig Generals Basketball Team, who led the participants in the Oath of Sportsmanship, setting the tone for the exciting games ahead.

Day 1 saw intense volleyball matches, culminating in the completion of the tournament, while basketball teams battled through elimination rounds, with five teams advancing to the finals.

𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮 𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟲! Aside from the highly anticipated Basketball Finals and the awarding ceremonies for Basketball and Volleyball, there’s plenty more in store. The day will feature the Coop Ambassador Competition, where participants will showcase their leadership and charm, as well as the Family Games—perfect for coop members of all ages. Adding even more energy to the event, the much-awaited Cheer Dance Competition will bring the spirit and enthusiasm of each cooperative to life!
