Mayor Abby Binay’s administration recognized the role and contribution of the cooperative sector to the city’s success, through the Annual Koopbida Awards in line with the National Celebration of the Cooperative Month.

In the recent Koopbida Awards 2022 held on October 12, 2022 at the Activity Center, Jazz Mall, Makati City, the Cooperative Development Office of Makati in coordination with various stakeholders, honored the city’s unique cooperatives in terms of Asset and Membership, Best Performing in Concern for Community Projects Nationwide, Resilient Coops, Best Barangay with Coops and Savers Activities, Level Up Coops and Early Compliant Coops 2022 and other special awards like Outstanding Cooperative Leaders and Partner Organizations.  A total of one hundred three (103) plaques and citations were awarded by Ms. Vivian Dominguez Gabriel, head of MCDO, as assisted by Mr. Alexander Casas, Chair of Union of Primary Cooperatives in Makati and Ms. May Pacleb, CDS II of CDA-NCR EO.

The activity was graced by City Officials headed by Vice Mayor Monique Yazmin Maria Lagdameo and Congressman Luis Jose Angel Campos Jr., and CDA NCR Extension Office Assistant Director, Ms. Anastacia Hora.  They provided Inspirational Messages to at least one hundred fifty (150) participants from different Makati cooperatives and representatives from LGU and NGAs.
