Quezon City – In the interest of ensuring that all Quezon City-based cooperatives are updated with the issuances and requirements of government, the Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (QC-SBCDPO), in partnership with the Cooperative Development Authority – National Capital Region Extension Office (CDA-NCR EO), conducted a Compliance Forum for Cooperatives last March 23, 2023 at the Lobby Area, Amoranto Arena, Sct. Chuatoco St., Quezon City.

The event was attended by 130 cooperatives in Quezon City with 166 participants who attentively listened to the updates on the submission of reports; procedures for securing permits and licenses, and basic compliances related to cooperatives from the resource speakers coming from the Cooperative Development Authority-NCR (CDA-NCR), Quezon City Business Permits and Licensing Department (QC-BPLD), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

The whole-day activity was graced by Hon. Candy A. Medina, Chair – Quezon City Council – Committee on Cooperatives, and the forum rationale was presented and discussed by SBCDPO Head Mona Celine Yap.
