On October 1, 2023, Taguig assigned CDS II, Marilou M. Valencia together with Taguig CDO Head, Ms. Lecira V. Juarez and Staff joined by 51 different Taguig Cooperatives with 1,107 participants attended and actively participated in the 2023 Taguig Cooperative Month Celebration kick-off, at Taguig City Lakeshore Hall, C-6, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City. Pursuant to Republic Act 11502 which designates the month of October every year as the ” National Cooperative Month” and with this year’s Cooperative Month theme: “Cooperatives: Pioneering the Path to Recovery Amidst Modern Challenges of Climate Change and Food Security”, all Coops – big and small nationwide are jubilantly observing said very significant mandate.

The kick-off activity started with a Fun Run along C6 Road. Non-runners were led into a Zumba dance by Ms. Regine Tolentino. This was followed by the opening of the TLC EXPO where different products of Cooperatives’ members were showcased.
