It was indeed a fruitful month for the Caloocan City Development Council (CCDC) as it held its 6th Joint Committee & Execom Meeting last August 10, 2023 at 3rd Floor Bulwagang Katipunan, Caloocan City Hall, 8th Avenue, Caloocan City. In attendance were UE Caloocan MPC, Sta. Quiteria MPC, Novaliches-Balintawak-Blumentritt Transport Cooperative (NOBABLUM TC), Epiphany of the Lord Credit Cooperative, Birhen ng Lourdes Parish Development Cooperative (BLPDC) and Samahan ng Manininda sa Pamilihang Bayan ng Maypajo Caloocan Credit Cooperative (SAMMOCA-CC).
The CCDC headed by Chairperson Lucy Furo in coordination with Mr. Allan Lambojo (OIC-Coop Division) of the Caloocan Cooperative Development Office (CCDO) discussed the activities lined-up for the coming months. There will be trainings such as “A Practical Steps to Financial Freedom”, “Mandatory Trainings for Micro to Large Cooperatives” as well as Cooperative Month Activities like Motorcade, Food Bazaar, Educators Consultative Forum and so much more.
Furthermore, a “Computerization Program” project for Micro Cooperatives were in talks to address issues on the proper and easy recordings of the cooperative’s financial transactions into organized accounts on a daily basis. This will benefit the cooperatives if materialized.
Part also of the agenda was to register a Transport Federation in Caloocan City to support our Transport Cooperatives not only in Caloocan but also in nearby cities for the Modernization Program. The goal was for the different transport cooperatives to help each other in compliance with the said program.
The meeting ended and the participants left with a lot of news to inform their respective cooperatives.
