The 997 Sandigan Transport Service Cooperative (997STSC) held the launching for it’s additional sixteen (16) units Hino Modern Class 3 PUV Units on September 18, 2023, at its terminal compound in Belfast Ave. Brgy. Pasong Putik, Novaliches, Quezon City.

The theme of the cooperative event was “JOURNEY TO TOTAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT MODERNIZATION – PUVMP”.  This was attended by respected personalities in the public transport sector led by LTFRB-NCR Regional Director, Atty. Zona Russete Tamayo, who facilitated the turnover of the Provisional Authority. Also included among the guests were Mr. Rene S. Mendoza, CDS II from Cooperative Development Authority – NCR, and Mr. Celino Geronimo, Admin Officer V from Office of Transport Cooperative (OTC).  Furthermore, there were representatives from the National Federation of Transport Cooperative and Pandacan Transport Service and Multipurpose Cooperative Chairperson, Mr. Edmundo F. Cadavona.  Other transport cooperatives graced the occasion such as Juan TSC, A. Roces TSC, San Dionsio TSC, Fairthron TSC, and Grotto Novaliches TSC.

Also, in the event are 997 TSC’s business technology partners like Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperative as its financial institutions’ partner, and Hino Motors Abad Santos as its Modern PUV Units provider.  Other guests include JourneyTech (TRIPKO) as its automatic fare collection (AFCS) provider, Alpha Insurance & Surety Co., Inc. as Insurance Provider, and Innovation Technology as GPS Provider.  Also gracing the occasion were friends and sponsors such as the New Extensive Auto Supply, Roden Refilling Gas Station, and Aguila Glass.

The ceremony was simple yet so meaningful and uplifting for all members of 997 Sandigan Transport Service Cooperative and for those who believed in the essence and advocacy of the PUV Modernization Program.
