QUEZON CITY. The Cooperative Development Authority – NCR Extension Office participated in the “Buhay at Bahay: Solo Parents Caravan” held on September 9, 2023, at the Fiber/Liban Covered Court, Pilot Drive, Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.

Said activity was initiated by Quezon City Councilor Mikey Belmonte, to extend services and provide sustainable programs and policy initiatives to the solo-parent population in Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City.

Government agencies and private companies set up booths/service desks to help said beneficiaries, including PLDT, Smart, Meralco, Maynilad, Mwell, TESDA, Pag-Ibig Fund, Philippine Statistics Authority, QC Health Department, City Civil Registry Department, and the Cooperative Development Authority.

The event was also attended by Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, who encouraged all the solo parents to patronize and avail the programs of the LGU such as education assistance, social welfare assistance programs, service/food discounts, and other programs and services extended to this vulnerable sector in the community.
