CDA Hand Holding Caravan Rolls in South District of NCR
On March 5, 2024, at the Session Hall of Pasay City Hall, the 4th series of Hand Holding Caravan (HH Caravan) unfolded for its ONE-STOP-SHOP initiative aimed at assisting Micro and Small Cooperatives in the City. The event jointly conducted by the Cooperative Development Authority-National Capital Region Extension Office (CDA-NCREO) headed by Regional Director Pedro T. Defensor, Jr. and the Local Government of Pasay through its Hon. City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano was designed to streamline the regulatory compliance process and issuance of Certificates of Compliance (COC) on the same day.
Micro and Small cooperatives from Pasay City participated in the HH Caravan, willing to address regulatory requirements and secure their COC’s promptly. The HH Caravan provided a comprehensive platform for cooperatives to receive guidance, support, and assistance in meeting the mandatory reports mandated by the Authority.
With experts from CDA-NCREO Technical Staff, the ACDI Team of Internal Auditors, and Certified External Auditors (CEA’s) on hand to offer assistance and facilitate the process, cooperatives found invaluable resources to comply with the regulatory requirements effectively.
Several cooperatives successfully fulfilled all necessary obligations and were duly issued Certificates of Compliance. The success of the Hand Holding Caravan underscores the importance of collaborative initiatives between the CDA and the Local Government Units, supporting the growth and sustainability of Micro and Small Cooperatives.
By providing accessible and efficient avenues for compliance, such initiatives empower cooperatives to thrive in a conducive regulatory environment.
