CDA-NCREO One-Stop-Shop Hand-Holding Caravan Streamlines Compliance for Micro and Small Cooperatives in Muntinlupa City
In the 6th Series of CDA-NCREO Hand-Holding Caravan (HH Caravan) continues its ONE-STOP-SHOP initiative last March 7, 2024, held at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex, Tunasan, Muntinlupa City. Jointly conducted by the Cooperative Development Authority-National Capital Region Extension Office (CDA-NCREO) headed by Regional Director Pedro T. Defensor, Jr. and the Local Government of Muntinlupa through its Hon. City Mayor Ruffy Biazon, the caravan was designed to streamline regulatory compliance processes and assist cooperatives in securing a Certificate of Compliance (COC).
Twenty-seven (27) Micro and Small cooperatives from Muntinlupa City participated in the HH Caravan, willing to address regulatory requirements and secure their COC’s promptly. The HH Caravan provided a comprehensive platform for cooperatives to receive guidance, support, and assistance in meeting the mandatory reports mandated by the Authority.
On hand were experts from CDA-NCREO Technical Staff, the ACDI Team of Internal Auditors through its Chairman, Major Gen. Gilbert S. Llanto, and the Certified External Auditor (CEA) Ms. Francisca Godinez to offer assistance and facilitate the process where cooperatives are given a unique opportunity to address regulatory requirements efficiently and effectively under one roof.
Cooperatives that had successfully fulfilled all mandatory reports were issued Certificates of Compliance. A total of seven 7 cooperatives were issued their respective COC namely:
- Pag-asa sa Paglaya Multipurpose Cooperative
- Golden Gate Credit Cooperative
- Delsa Employees Credit Cooperative
- Muntinlupa National High School Employees MPC
- Camella 2 E Multipurpose Cooperative
- Pasco Producers Cooperative (Pasco Muntinlupa)
- Philippine United Truck Owner’s Service Cooperative (PUNTO-SC)
This achievement underscored the dedication and commitment of cooperatives toward adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.
The collaborative effort between the CDA and the City Government of Muntinlupa exemplifies the commitment by supporting the growth and sustainability of Micro and Small Cooperatives in the City. Providing accessible and streamlined avenues for compliance, the Hand Holding Caravan empowers cooperatives to thrive in a conducive regulatory environment.
