On September 12 and 13, 2023, at the Mercado De Lago, Pavillon 2, C-6, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City, Committee hearings were conducted for the accreditation of cooperatives as Civil Society Organizations (CSO). The hearings were headed by the Chairman of Committee on Cooperatives and People’s Organization, Hon. Carlito M. Ogalinola, Ph.D., together with other Taguig City Councilors Hon. Nicky C. Supan, Hon. Alexander S. Penollo and Hon. Ed Prado. Eleven primary cooperatives, together with the Taguig CDC were the subject of hearing on the first day and another thirteen primary cooperatives were heard on the second day. To be able to participate in the budget hearings and crafting of programs for the city, people’s organizations including cooperatives should be accredited as CSO.

Also present during the hearing were Taguig CDO Head, Ms. Lecira V. Juarez and Staff (Ms. Aira Jane, Ms. Aubrey and Ms. Janeth), and Taguig assigned CDS II, Marilou M. Valencia.
