As Desmond Tutu has said “A time of crisis is not just a time of anxiety and worry. It gives a chance, an opportunity, to choose well or to choose badly.” True enough, in the light of the corona virus outbreak, a great number of our cooperatives in the whole country have chosen very well in responding open-handedly to the needs of their members and their communities. One of those is the Community Water Service Cooperative of Recomville II, Caloocan City who spearheaded the distribution of rice to their 337 members residing in Barangay 171, Bagumbong, Caloocan City. A budget of P 56,000.00 was alloted for the assistance. Though the coop office was closed because of the enhanced community quarantine, this did not hinder the said cooperative through its Board of Directors in coming up with such a program that assured the members that even in these trying times, their cooperative will always be of service to them. #CoopsAgainstCovid19
