The Cooperative Development Authority-NCR (CDA-NCR) in coordination with Valenzuela City Cooperative Development Office (CDO) conducted a group inspection on May 10, 2023 to one of their large cooperatives.  San Isidro Labrador Parish Multipurpose Cooperative is a millionaire cooperative located at Km. 14 Malinta, Valenzuela City.  In attendance from CDA-NCR were Mr. Venancio Bassig, Jr., CDS II (Valenzuela City), Ms. Rachell Solayao, CDS II (Caloocan City) and Mr. Emmanuel Lapena, CDS II (Malabon and Navotas City).  On the part of Valenzuela CDO were Ms. Roshel Andrada and Ms. Cristalline Castro while Ms. Lilian Castelo, General Manager, together with her staff represented the cooperative.

The conduct of group inspection for large cooperatives was recently implemented to guarantee that the cooperatives’ operations will be checked and reviewed thoroughly.  Granting that they have more documents, it was really helpful to be able to distribute the inspection of the different documents. 

The cooperative appreciated the presence of inspectors as they were able to consult with more people.  Even large cooperatives have their own issues and concerns and it was indeed helpful to be able to have the assistance of the inspectors.
