“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”
-Mahatma Gandhi-
In addressing today’s global state of health emergency due to covid-19 pandemic which knows no borders, several measures were being implemented by the Philippine government in combatting this unseen, yet deadly enemy. Just like any war, the battle against coronavirus can be won thru an efficient mobilization of resources. By resource mobilization, several programs took place which are anchored to RA 11469 (Bayanihan to Heal as One Act). To name some: There is an emergency provision of financial assistance or subsidy to low-income families, the distribution of food packs and grocery items to every household, provision of special-risk allowance to public health workers, and others. Through valuable interventions from different sectors in our nation, we can surely bounce back economically. Just like what the cooperative sector did from the start of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) up to date, thousands of them in the entire Philippine archipelago, regardless of sizes, participated and took necessary actions to be of service to their members and the community. There is no greater value than to unite and place ourselves in service to others during difficulties. Through community service, everything would be possible in gaining someone’s quality life. It’s a way in which we ourselves grow and develop.
