Paranaque City — August 18, 2023.  Cooperative leaders and members from the City gathered at Max’s Restaurant in Sucat, Paranaque City on August 18, 2023, to participate in an enlightening seminar focused on enhancing their governance skills through the principles of parliamentary procedure. Organized by the Paranaque Cooperative Development Office (PCDO), the seminar aimed to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools required for effective decision-making and streamlined meetings.  Conducted under the leadership of the amiable Ms. Josephine N. Salomon, the seminar saw the participation of 77 eager learners representing 28 diverse cooperatives.

Parliamentary procedure often considered the cornerstone of well-organized meetings and decisions, took center stage at this enlightening seminar. Mr. Fernando S. Laquindanum, a recognized expert in cooperative matters, was the resource speaker, imparting a structured approach to facilitating discussions, fair participation, and decision-making.

Armed with the tools to conduct meetings effectively, and ensure equitable participation, it is anticipated that the city’s cooperative sector will experience enhanced governance, and improved decision-making processes.
