Parañaque City officially launched its Cooperative Month celebration on Saturday, October 5, 2024, with a motorcade.  The event began at 8:00 o’clock in the morning with an opening ceremony held at the Parañaque City Hall Grounds, where Mayor Eric L. Olivarez attended and addressed the crowd, emphasizing the significance of cooperatives in fostering economic growth and solidarity.  The kick-off activity coincided with the birthday celebration of the city’s beloved mayor.

The motorcade, featuring forty-seven (47) cooperative organizations and their members, paraded through the city with sixty (60) motor vehicles and thirty-nine (39) motorcycles, showcasing the strength of the cooperative movement. Participants hoisted banners to raise awareness and promote the importance of cooperatives among citizens, highlighting their vital role in community development and economic empowerment.
