Pink a bestselling author “Rewarding an activity will get you more of it. Punishing an activity will get you less of it.” To point out, a certain cooperative union dares to answer.

Cooperative Union of the City of Muntinlupa (CUCM) bonded together despite ECQ and heeded the call for action. Last April 27, 2020 the cooperative union donated to Muntinlupa LGU 35 pcs of PPE for City Health Office frontliners. The said donation was charged to the cooperative union’s operating expense which amounted to Php.14, 000.00 To put it simply, a certain catch phrase was invented aptly called Cooperative Union for COVID-19 Mitigation (CUCM).

Now going back to the previous statement about motivation, whether using the carrot approach (rewards) or sticks approach (fear, punishment) both are equally important, but there is a third drive— to direct our own lives, to get better, to make a contribution. Whether nagging to get optimum result, or patting each other’s back, at the end of the day “the act itself is its own reward.”
