The Cooperative Development Authority, as mandated by Republic Act No. 6939, seeks to ensure the safe and sound operation of cooperatives in order to develop the cooperative sector into a viable and sustainable economic enterprise. One way of reinforcing this strategy is to provide technical assistance to Micro / Small cooperatives through strengthening partnership with successful cooperatives through the KOOP KAPATID (Big Brother Small Brother) Program and application of the internationally accepted Principle of Cooperation Among Cooperatives. Koop Kapatid Program aims at identifying possible Large cooperatives who could extend all forms of possible assistance to Micro / Small cooperatives to help them graduate to Small / Medium cooperatives.
In November 18, 2019 a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was entered into and signed between Medium Cooperative, Limardina Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Small Brother God’s Household Credit and Savings Cooperative.
