KOOP KAPATID PROGRAM: BUILDING STRONGER COOPERATIVES THROUGH PARTNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION

The AFP Finance Center Multi-Purpose Cooperative inks a Memorandum of Agreement on Koop Kapatid Program, facilitated by the Cooperative Development Authority NCR Extension Office. The beneficiaries of the partnership are QCPD Consumers Cooperative and Riverside Consumers Cooperative who both require technical guidance for developing their management skills.
The MOA Signing was held on September 26, 2024 at the AFPFC MPC Function Hall. The momentous event was welcomed by the Partner Cooperative’s Vice Chairman Col. Felipe P. Vicencio (RET) stressing on the unified efforts of not only cooperatives but to more Filipinos. The key components of the Koop Kapatid program were presented by AFPFC MPC Board Secretary, CMIS Rodolfo C. Cantalejo (RET), and led the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement.

A solidarity message was delivered by Chairperson MGEN Rizaldo B. Limoso AFP (RET), sharing insights on sacrifices, taking risks and finding a sense of purpose. As a partner Cooperative, he assured to be with its beneficiary cooperatives throughout its cooperative journey and reminded everyone  to always do things right.

 

Chairpersons of QCPD Consumers Cooperative, PBGEN Crizaldo O. Nieves (RET) and Mr. Jonathan Fajardo of Riverside Consumers Cooperative expressed their gratitude to their Partner Cooperative for being chosen as beneficiaries of various technical assistance that will contribute in the growth and development of their cooperatives.

CDA NCR Regional Director Pedro T. Defensor Jr. shared an overview of the Koop Kapatid Program, and witnessed the agreement together with Quezon City SBCDPO Head of the Cooperative Development Section, Mr.  Arnikan T. Abueva.

The parties agreed to implement the project for a period of one year and will be subject for monitoring and evaluation by the Authority.
