In response to the request of Calamba City Cooperative Development Council, Valenzuela City Cooperative Development Council hosted a Lakbay-Aral on August 2, 2022 in coordination with the Valenzuela Cooperative Development Office. The Lakbay-Aral started at 10:00 A.M. with twenty-five (25) participants from Calamba City CDC & CDO, and Valenzuela CDC & CDO as the pictures below show.
The Valenzuela Cooperative Development Council (VCDC) Officers headed by its Chairperson, Ms Lillian D. Silubrico and Valenzuela Cooperative Development Office (VCDO) headed by its Officer-in-Charge, Dr. Josephine P. Osea warmly welcomed Calamba City Cooperative Development Council Officers, the honored guests, on their Lakbay-Aral visit.
After they were shown the city by an official tour guide, the Coop Guests were ushered to the City Hall for a quick tour of the Valenzuela City Hall where each guest was given a souvenir, Val City Museum, then some docu-picture-taking moments at the Valenzuela City Seal, and finally guided to the VCDO office to meet with the Host Coop officers to discuss/exchange notes/ insights on their Best Practices.
At the Valenzuela Cooperative Development Office, Valenzuela City CDO – OIC, Dr. Josephine Osea, welcomed the participants and presented the Plans and Programs, Organizational Structure, and different activities of Valenzuela Cooperative Development Council and their Best Practices. Here too Councilor Roselle C. Sabino-Sy found time to welcome the Calamba City Cooperative Development Council and CDO officers on their Lakbay-Aral time.
When this Valenzuela CDO session was over, the Group proceeded to Valenzuela Development Cooperative (VALDECO) to partake of the sumptuous lunch and more experience-sharing time. To welcome the guests at VALDECO was the General Manager and Vice-Chairperson of Valenzuela CDC, Ms. Rosalie Valencia. To cap the quite heavy activities-filled field day, VALDECO treated the guests to a free facial session for their relaxation.
Soon after, questions and clarifications were comprehensively dealt with, the Chairperson of Calamba City CDC, together with the other Officers of the Calamba City CDC responded, expressing their thanks for the inspiring and motivating Lakbay-Aral enriching experience shared by Valenzuela CDC and CDO with the Calamba City CDC and CDO Officers.
They say even good things do end, so at the close of the Lakbay-Aral, the Officers of the Calamba City Cooperative Development Councils were very excited and eagerly discussed how they could possibly replicate these best practices and put these to good use in their own respective coops.
