With the emergence of the current pandemic around the globe, there was an immediate pronouncement of a lockdown where everyone is staying at home and minimizing contact with other people is a must. Particularly here in Luzon, since the Enhanced Community Quarantine started mid-part of March, the government implemented strict health measures to fight the COVID-19 pandemic ordering the temporary closure of many institutions. In effect, this brought adverse economic impacts to families of workers and to the community as a whole, hence, a strong unity and solidarity are most important during this adversity. In the City of Makati, Metro Manila, the PLDT Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PECCI) showed its unmeasurable kindness and generosity by donating food supplies to our front-liners rendering duties at the National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City and Asilo San Vicente de Paul, Manila. #CoopsAgainstCOVID19
