COOP AGAINST COVID-19
In Mandaluyong City, the Mandaluyong Traders Development Cooperative has taken the initiative to respond to the needs of their members and the community during this time of global health crisis. The Board of Directors (BODs) came up with a resolution to extend help to the members through the provision of Five Hundred Pesos (Php500.00) worth of cash and five-kilo rice to each member. All the members had greatly appreciated the effort of the BODs as evidently seen in the smiles on their faces.
The total amount of said financial assistance is One Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos (Php150,000.) charged against coops’ Optional Fund. To those members who were not able to receive, they may claim it once the Enhanced Community (ECQ) is lifted. In addition to that, the Cooperative also came up with a resolution to extend help to the frontline workers in their community, Brgy. Pag-Asa, Mandaluyong City. They were able to donate an amount of Twenty Thousand Peso (Php20,000.00) cash from their Community Development Fund (CDF). Other officers also donated bottled water to the frontliners who are always risking their lives just to serve their fellowmen.
Our salute to MTDC for their tireless and unselfish efforts in serving their members and the community amid this crisis. Together we will win this battle against COVID-19.
