COVID-19 pandemic is now spreading to more than One Hundred (100) countries around the world, affecting negatively the economic standard, political and even religious activities globally. It brings great damage in the lives of every human being in the face of the earth. To fight the war against this global health crisis, everybody is encouraged to do something beneficial not only to ourselves but also for the benefit of others.
In life, nothing can satisfy and please our soul a much as helping others. Helping the needy will not only make a difference in their life, it would have a lot of benefits for us as well. In Marikina City, the cooperative sector never fails to share love and kindness in these unprecedented times. Among them is the Sta. Elena High School Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative in which from the beginning of the ECQ period here in Luzon, had already responded to the community where they operate. Recently, they gave focus to the needs of their members alone by releasing cash assistance amounting to Two Hundred Eighty-Four Thousand Pesos (Php284,000.00) from the coops’ Optional Fund. This is to augment the budget of the members for their basic necessities during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) period.
