The seminar’s keynote speaker, Mr. Dennis Orlina, President of the ASEAN Handicraft Promotion and Development Association, captivated the audience with his in-depth discussion on climate changeโs growing risks to businesses. By sharing global statistics, he emphasized the necessity of business continuity plans that incorporate sustainability. Mr. Orlina underscored how cooperatives, through innovation and adaptation, can weather environmental disruptions and create long-term, sustainable growth opportunities
The event was not only a learning experience but also a celebration of cooperatives’ resilience and their unique ability to rally communities toward a common goal. With climate change becoming an ever-increasing global threat, the cooperative movement in Taguig is leading the way, ensuring that sustainable solutions and environmental stewardship remain at the heart of their development strategies.
Together, cooperatives are more than just businessesโthey are key players in the fight against climate change, guiding their communities towards a sustainable and resilient future.
