Orientation Meeting on Koop Kapatid Program
To promote and manifest cooperativism for a progressive, sustainable and empowered community, the Orientation Meeting between the Koop Kapatid Program partners and beneficiary Cooperatives was held on May 22, 2025 at the 5th Floor Makati Cooperative Development Office, Makati City Hall, Makati City. It was initiated and coordinated by Marilou M. Valencia, assigned Developmental Cooperatives Development Specialist (DCDS) in Makati City.
In attendance were two Partner-Cooperative Representatives: 1.) Caltex (Makati) Credit Cooperative represented by Ms. Achilles M. Osia, General Manager; and 2.) Punongbayan & Araullo (P & A) Credit Cooperative represented by Mr. Mark Anthony Francia, General Manager. There were also four Beneficiary-Cooperative Representatives: 1.) Colgate Palmolive Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative represented by Ms. Jennifer Aranda; 2.) Makati City Retired Employees Credit Cooperative (MACRECCO) represented by Ms. Remedios M. Eviza, General Manager and Ms. Lina M. Carungcong; 3.) Makati City Unified Transport Service Cooperative represented by Mr. Rapido Galang and Mr. Virgilio Costa; and 4.) Metroclub Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative represented by Ms. Annaliza Dela Torre, Chairperson and Ms. Joesphine B. Lazaro. They were enlightened on the nature, objectives and uniqueness of the CDA’s Koop Kapatid Program which made them anticipate the MOA signing.
Witnessing the orientation and the initial agreements reached were the Makati CDO Coordinators: Ms. Rubylyn D. Pasco, Ms. Imelda C. Eterosa, Ms. Evelyn G. Cabigting, Ms. Melinda O. Pimentel, Gwen F. Tan and with Senior CDS, Ms. Roena B. Caguimbal and the CDA-NCR Acting Head of CPDAS, Ms. May Pacleb. These officers also lauded and congratulated both Partner and Beneficiary Cooperatives on their best collaborative efforts.
The Koop Kapatid Program participants gratefully thanked both the Makati City CDO and staff for sponsoring and DCDS Marilou M. Valencia for conducting said Koop Kapatid Program Orientation.
