Former US President Barack Obama has once said “The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.” At such a time as this wherein we are confronted with a worldwide pandemic, it is but natural that feelings of anxiousness, depression and hopelessness fill the hearts of many. But thankfully, we hear and see stories of people coming together with their selfless acts of service who “make good things happen and fill the world with hope” which truly bring us all hope and inspiration in these desperate times.
Among them is our featured cooperative from Valenzuela City, the Our Lady of Fatima Credit Cooperative who made their members and their community feel that they are not alone in this battle against COVID19. For the member-owners, they have packed and distributed 1,000 relief goods which were delivered to their homes. To the frontliners, 200 packed meals were prepared and distributed by this cooperative. Once again, our salute and thanks to all cooperatives for bringing hope and inspiration! #CoopsAgainstCovid19
