“Non nobis solum nati sumus.” (Not only for ourselves are we born.). Such were the words uttered by one of Rome’s greatest orators and prose stylists in the name of Marcus Tullius Cicero. This life principle is very much evident nowadays in our cooperatives who have been instruments in making a great difference not only in the lives of their members but even to the communities they are faithfully serving in the midst of this COVID19 crisis we are all facing. Though confronted with enormous challenges themselves, a great number of cooperatives in the whole country are serving as “light in the darkness” as they bring hope and inspiration to those who are in need.

ACDI Multi-Purpose Cooperative, the largest cooperative in the Philippines and awarded as the Most Outstanding Cooperative in 2015. All across the country, they were able to donate and  distribute protective gears like face masks and gloves, alcohol, sanitizers, food packs, water and fresh milk to our beloved frontliners who have been risking their very own lives in battling this fight against the pandemic. To different communities nationwide, they were able to provide grocery items, rice, food packs, face masks, and sanitizers to help ease the burdens of our fellowmen in such a time as this.
