Seminar on Philippine Financial Reporting Framework (PFRF) and Standard Chart of Accounts (SCA) for Cooperatives of Taguig City and Pateros

The Taguig Cooperative Development Office (TCDO), in collaboration with the Taguig City Cooperative Development Council (TCCDC), Cooperative Union of Taguig and Pateros (COUNTPA) and Union of Defense and Public Safety Cooperatives (UDPSC) sponsored a seminar on Philippine Financial Reporting Framework (PFRF) and Standard Chart of Accounts (SCA) for Cooperatives on June 6 – 7, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Lakeshore Hall/Tent, C6, Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.  This was attended by 152 officers and staff from 54 participating Taguig Cooperatives.                     

Welcome remarks and acknowledgement of resource person and participants were given by Ms. Lecira V. Juarez, Taguig CDO (TCDO) Officer-In-Charge. It was followed by the inspirational message of City Councilor and Chairman of Committee on Cooperatives and People’s Organization, Hon. Carlito Ogalinola.

The discussion of the Revised Philippine Financial Reporting Framework (PFRF) and Standard Chart of Accounts (SCA) by Ms. Fe Caingles was proactively participated by everyone. Questions and clarifications were clearly answered and entertained by Ms. Caingles.

Also presented in the two-day activity was Koop Kapatid Program by Taguig CDS II, Marilou M. Valencia and Taguig CDO Head, Ms. Lecira V. Juarez. Different programs of the Taguig CDO like  Free External Audit Program for Micro and Small Cooperatives, Accreditation of Cooperatives as Civil Service Organization (CSO), Coop Social Development Program, United Nations International Cooperative Day (ICD) and  Coop ICON Award were also discussed at length by Ms.Juarez.

The seminar was made more meaningful by the presence of the Honorable City Mayor Maria Laarni “Lani” Lopez Cayetano. She delivered an inspirational message citing the contributions of cooperatives in the City of Taguig and calling for the continuous partnership with the coop sector.

The event was concluded with the closing remarks of the Taguig CDC Chairperson, Col. Felino R. Natividad (Ret) and presentation of the plaque of appreciation to the resource person, Ms. Fe D. Caingles and tokens of appreciation to the Taguig City CDC Officers by the Taguig CDO Head, Ms. Lecira V. Juarez.
