This event drew an impressive 282 applicants, highlighting the strong interest in cooperative employment opportunities within the region. Attendees had the chance to connect with 27 cooperatives and 12 SM Affiliates, exploring diverse job openings across multiple sectors.

Spot Hires and Future Opportunities

A highlight of the event was the 38 applicants who were hired on the spot, demonstrating the immediate demand for skilled workers and the readiness of cooperatives and businesses to welcome new talent. Additionally, many of the remaining applicants are now in line for second and final interviews, which indicates a positive outlook for job placements following the fair.

Community Impact and Collaboration

The success of this job fair underscores the importance of collaboration among local agencies and organizations dedicated to promoting employment and economic growth. The CDA NCR Extension Office emphasized the value of such events in connecting job seekers with potential employers, fostering a spirit of cooperation, and enhancing community welfare.

Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet directly with employers and learn more about the cooperative sector. Many attendees noted how the fair provided them with valuable insights into the job market and networking opportunities that might not have been available otherwise.

Looking Ahead

The cooperative job fair is part of a broader initiative to strengthen employment pathways nationwide. The CDA and its partners are committed to organizing more events like this in the future, ensuring that job seekers have continued access to resources and opportunities that empower them in their career journeys.
