A Chinese Proverb states these words of wisdom: “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.”
This act of lending a helping hand to those who are in need was demonstrated by our featured cooperative. From Quezon City, the New GSIS Transport Cooperative has taken part in heeding the call for our nation to heal as one by reaching out to their members amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Last April 22, the cooperative provided relief goods to their members to assist them in these trying times and let them know they are not alone in this battle. – FMC
