“Nothing liberates our greatness like the desire to help, the desire to serve.” – Marianne Williamson
From the City of Caloocan, the UE Caloocan Multipurpose Cooperative has displayed such desire to help and to serve amid the crisis brought about by the worldwide pandemic.
Herein is the report of the actions undertaken by the coop to lend a hand to their members and staff to cope during the ECQ: “On April 15,2020, the UE Caloocan Multipurpose Cooperative released a total of P187,000 from its optional fund to further extend assistance to its members and employees. It was deposited through members’ bank account. While the Cooperative is in its “no operations” status, UECMC made sure that all of its employees will continuously receive their salaries and will allow them to make salary advances until ECQ has been lifted. UECMC will continue living in its motto amidst this pandemic, “Doing things the Cooperative way”.”
